Get CCTV Transmitted straight to your Smartphone

Posted by

With criminals coming up with more and more sophisticated ways to try and take your hard earned cash away from you, it is important that security for your home and business is keeping up with them. Fortunately, security systems have become more sophisticated and are much lower in cost than they have been in the past and CCTV feeds can now be transmitted straight through to your smartphone.

This has added benefits over and above the normal benefits of a CCTV Installation. You can watch the feed from anywhere, meaning you are always free to have a quick check over what is happening at your home or business.  This can be especially useful if you are away for the weekend, or just out for the night, you can check up on what is going on back at home if you feel worried at any point. We did the installation on a CCTV system in Worsley, Manchester, and the owners took great comfort in the fact that they could watch the feed from their bed if they ever heard anything untoward late at night, you can get this peace of mind and it doesn’t have to cost the earth.

The added benefits of being able to stream your CCTV to your smartphone add to the already numerous advantages of having a CCTV system fitted. They can be very useful in police investigations, giving the police the best possible chance of catching the criminals involved in burglaries, vandalism and other crimes. Also, the footage can be given to your insurance company for them to look at following a claim. Additionally, having a security system fitted can add security to your business, protecting your staff and property from abuse.

You really can’t put a price on the peace of mind a CCTV installation in Manchester can bring, and it will probably cost less than you think. Get in touch today for a free survey and quote for your property.

4 methods designed to get the best picture from a HD TV

Posted by

Buy a funky new HD telly for your home and you expect the picture to be perfect the moment you plug it in and switch it on. This isn’t always the case though, so the guys at JNB have come up with a few solutions that should help you get amazing picture quality.

  1. 1.     Invest in good quality cables: Before you set the television up make sure you are using premium grade HDMI cables. Don’t make do and mend with older types of composite cables, they won’t work, buy a good set of HDMI cables, make sure you connect them properly and they’ll give you the types of results you are expecting.
  2. Buy other HD devices: Does your digibox or DVD support HD content? If not, you could be wasting your money on a HD TV. Make sure you are actually watching HD channels or content through your new TV. You might have to upgrade your TV package if you are subscribed to a cable or satellite company, or buy an up to date DVD or BluRay player, but it’ll be worth it when you see the difference in quality.
  3. Check the settings on the TV: Go through the settings using the remote on the television and fine tune the colour, contrast and brightness. You might have custom options already built into the box so try different ‘modes’ out to see how they look. Play around for a while with the settings and it shouldn’t take you long to find a picture that you like.
  4. Look at the settings on your devices: Are they ready to rock through HD? You might have to manually adjust the source setting, even though it should automatically be set up to run HD TV. Take a quick peak at the aspect ratio setting. It should be set for 1080i. If not, change it manually and when you sit back to enjoy a flick you’ll have the glory of HD right in front of your eyes!
